Bancroft, Ontario
requirements (yes we mean it :))
We love dogs!!
And we've got lots of dog boarding experience.
After 15 years we know a thing or two about how to handle all kinds of dogs, what to expect, and things to watch for.
We have strict rules because it works for us and allows us to keep our home a fun, safe, and loving place for all visitors, animal and human.
Our rules won't fit everyone so please read on to make sure your pup is a good fit for our pack.
Thanks everyone! :)
The rules
Your dog must meet ALL criteria otherwise he/she cannot be a guest at Happy Tails:
Spayed or neutered
This helps us keep aggression, marking, and dominance in check.
Fully vaccinated
Rabies and Bordetella (Kennel Cough), at a minimum.
Fully house trained
No peeing in the house. Ever. At all. No pee pads. No marking. No incontinence. All business must be taken care of in the fenced play area.
No barking
While barking is inevitable where there are dogs, we try to keep it at a minimum. If your dog is an excessive barker you will need to address the issue before your dog can stay.
No agression
Play is encouraged. But if it gets rowdy then we'll all need to calm down a bit. No humping. No biting, even play biting. No guarding. No growling.
No poop eating
Not only is it really gross but it's just unhealthy for everyone when a dog with a poopy mouth is mouthing other dogs and toys.
